Medracker
Problem: Nurse cannot track what medication has been given to a particular patient and what other medications to give.
Goal: To design a digital application (Mobile app) to let nurses track what medicines have been given to a patient and also have access to their basic health details and which doctor is treating them.
Scenario: A hospital nurse has just visited a patient and needs to give him medication. The patient has not taken the medication before but needs to take the medication 4 more times in the next 48 hours. The patient is currently taking 3 other medications. One medication is for a chronic condition, and the other two medications were first given when the patient arrived at the facility.
Project outline.
Calculation: 48hrs= 2 days, Medication to be taken=2 times a day (Assuming morning and evening). Other medicines being taken= 3. Total= 5 medications a day.
So, in the next 48hrs (2 days) a total of 5 medications to be taken.
Personas: Nurse persona
Talked to a nurse I know and created a persona quickly to understand their behaviours

Logic map and user flow

Wireframes
Wireframes are made to understand the flow and micro-interactions. Using behaviours from persona created wireframes with simple interface assuming Nurses are not well versed with tech.

My design is based on assumptions to some amount as I was able to talk to only one nurse and taking to more and doing the affinity diagrams will bring more behaviours and insights. I also assumed this app is not a self serv model as the nurse's database will be added by the hospital and assumed the access will be given by the hospital.
What next?
I will make a high fidelity wireframes and test with nurses to take feedback and implement the design making changes. Based on quantitative numbers (Analytics) and qualitative feedback will see where users are facing difficulty and what they want to see more or less.
